A Bhangra set can pull a wedding hall to its feet in four minutes. Between those two ends sit hundreds of styles - temple rituals, harvest circles, martial drills, street cyphers - each with its own music, costume and reason for existing.
We built this library for a practical reason. Anyone who has planned a sangeet, a school annual day or a company gala knows the problem: the good artists are scattered. A Kathak guru teaches in one city, a Ghoomar troupe performs in another, and a fine Kalbelia group may never show up on a search page at all. So we went and mapped them, form by form, region by region.
Start with a family below, open any form to read its story, and when you are ready to put it on a stage, tell us the city and the date.
Every link below opens a full page on this site - where the form comes from, how it is performed, and how to book artists who train in it. No stub pages, no filler.
Forms recognised on the classical stage, built on old treatises, strict training and centuries of temple and court patronage.
Dances that belong to fields, seasons and festivals - performed in circles, in full costume, with the whole village invited.
Traditions that predate the classical canon - masked, acrobatic, and tied tightly to the land and the calendar.
Court halls, village squares and cafes - how Europe learned to move, from Vienna to the Scottish glens.
Partner dances with African and Spanish roots that rewired ballrooms across the world.
Born on sidewalks and in club rooms, built on battles, cyphers and serious musicality.
Masked epics, court refinements and festival giants - from Japan and China down to Bali and Thailand.
Occasion pages with formats, artist options and clear quotes - pick the event, we handle the stage.
Your date, city, venue size and the occasion. A WhatsApp message is enough to start - no forms, no logins.
We shortlist performers who actually train in the form you picked, and send their videos with clear quotes.
We coordinate timings, music and stage needs with the artists. You sit back and watch the hall fill up.
A working shelf of the world's traditions - each entry linked to its own page on this site.
More shelves: Fandango · Mazurka · Paso Doble · Jive · Rumba · Kecak · Legong · Ram Thai · Talchum
Pick a form from this page - Ghoomar for a Rajasthani-themed sangeet, Breaking for a product launch, Odissi for a cultural festival - and we will find the artists who perform it properly.
